Adverb (Adverbio)
Adverbs are invariable forms that can modify a verb, an adjective, another
adverb or a whole clause or utterance. This word class expresses:

manner: como how, ben well,
mal badly;
-
time: hoxe today, mañá
tomorrow,
pasadomañá the day after tomorrow,
onte yesterday, antesdantonte the
day before yesterday, xa
already, agora
now, despois afterwards,
nunca never;
-
etc.
Among place adverbs, most worthy of note are the deictic adverbs. These
adverbs locate objects with respect to the three grammatical persons:
-
aquí (1st person) here;
-
aí (2nd person) there;
-
alí (3rd person) there.
There are also adverbial locutions:
-
de repente suddenly;
-
de vagar / a modo / ó xeito slowly, carefully,
etc.
